Great Food and Beer in the Yarra Valley
I've been a fan of Hargreaves Hill ever since their Pale Ale first appeared in my local bottle shop and the Yering Station Farmers Market many years ago. It was very exciting when in 2007 they opened their restaurant in Yarra Glen and I would encourage anyone touring the Yarra Valley to drop in for a few beers and a meal. Spiced and Roasted Nuts or the Mt Zero Olives with Fruition Sourdough and Yarra Valley Dairy Persian Feta are always a good starter and the Roasted Pork Belly is always a favourite main of mine. Wash this down with some awesome Hargreaves Hill craft beer and you can't go wrong. If you have never tried their beers before it's best to start with a tasting paddle and if you are lucky enough to see their Imperial Red Ale, The Phoenix, on tap I encourage you to indulge and buy yourself a glass as it is a seriously great beer.
